Tips on buying textbooks with BookDefy

BookDefy offers students the ability to search through our database by Author and/or title, by ISBN or by professor and class. The most accurate search results will come from searches done by a books ISBN, however, this is not always readily available from your professors or from your University.

After you enter in your search results, you will be taken to a new page that will list out book titles with a similar name to the one that you searched. After you click on that link, you will be able to view each book, sorted by its quality.

Once you have found a book that you like, you can either set up to make arrangements with that person to exchange or directly purchase the textbook. If the seller has enabled it, you may also purchase the book directly from the other student with Paypal. Note, that our system encourages students to exchange books locally, and therefore, we automatically add a $5.00 shipping and handling charge to all textbooks sold outside of your school to cover the sellers shipping and handling charges.
